Porto Pino

PORTO PINO

Pink sand coves with crystal clear water, long “desertic” beaches with fine white sand, cliffs that overlook a  breathtaking seabed, lagoons inhabited by flamingos, all surrounded by pine forests, vineyards, caves, culture and culinary traditions.

Porto Pino, in the territory of Sant’Anna Arresi is embellished to the east, by the homonymous oak covered promontory , century old junipers and the very rare Aleppo pine trees, which, according to legend was the wood preferred by the Phoenicians for their boats. While on the opposite side you have the hills covered by Mediterranean brush.

The Porto Pino beach, about four km long, is divided in two parts by an old “canal” leading from the the lagoons. The first beach, not far from the parking area, is characterized by greyish sand, while the second beach, set between the lagoons and pine forest, has very fine white sand and borders with Is Arenas Biancas, the candid white dunes in the territory of Teulada, also called Le Dune. This is a another dazzling stretch of about one km made up of soft sandy white dunes that can reach thirty mt in height.
